Biryani Recipe – How to Make?

A person wants to learn something throughout his life. Do you want to spend time learning good things? In this article, I wanted to share with you how biryani is made. You can make biryani very easily by reading the recipe I will give you. I shared the list of materials needed for you. Let’s move on to our recipe and make our biryani.

Materials

For the rice:

  • 5 tablespoons butter (or ghee)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1.5 cups basmati or yasmin rice
  • 1 pinch of saffron (or safflower)
  • 1 tea glass milk
  • 2-3 charms
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 mulberry leaf
  • 1.5 tsp salt

For the chicken:

  • 4 pieces of chicken hips
  • 3 tablespoons of yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1.5 teaspoons ginger (crushed)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom
  • 1.5 tsp powdered coriander
  • 1 teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon powdered red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Key point

  • If available, use plain oil. If you can’t find plain oil, you can also use butter. Be careful not to overcook the rice. Otherwise, the taste and consistency will not be as you wish.

RECİPE

  • Start by marinating the chicken first. Transfer the chicken and all marinating ingredients into a deep bowl.
  • Mix it well so that all the ingredients come together. Cover it with cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  • Wash the rice well and drain any excess water.
  • Transfer the rice into a medium sized pot. Put cinnamon sticks, cloves and bay leaves on it.
  • Add water to the amount of 1 finger.
  • Cook on low heat until the rice is very soft. Light softening will be sufficient in this process. If you cook more, the consistency of the rice will not be as you wish.
  • When the rice is soft, remove from the stove and drain the excess water. Rest on the edge.
  • Transfer the milk to a bowl and add the saffron.
  • Take the butter in another pot, melt it. Add the grated carrot, soften.
  • Then take the chicken marinated on a very low heat.
  • Add the saffron along with the milk.
  • Cook like this for a few minutes. Then add the rice, spices and salt.
  • Place a cloth on the pan and cover and leave to cook over low heat.
  • After an average of 15-18 minutes, remove from the heat and rest.
  • Then serve it by mixing it well.
